The monograph presents the results of the physicochemical and bacteriological studies of water in four small watercourses flowing through the anthropogenically transformed area of Krakow, and provides a detailed characterisation of their catchments. The studies focused on the potential hazards to the quality of water in the storage reservoirs to be built there under the Programme of Small-Scale Retention for the Małopolskie Province. The publication contains also some suggestions on the measures to be taken in order to make water in the future storage reservoirs useful for utilitarian purposes. Colour photographs, diagrams and tables enrich the contents of the book.
